What Is This?
Make EU Make Sense is not anti-European. In fact, it’s the exact opposite. It’s a website created by someone who wants Europe to function — rationally, fairly, and with actual feedback from the people living in it.
I’m not a political party. I’m not funded by think tanks or corporations. I’m just a person who got tired of seeing brilliant ideas twisted into bureaucratic nonsense, and decided to start documenting it — with facts, a bit of sarcasm, and as little bullshit as possible.
What I Support
- Cooperation across European countries — in trade, security, and tech
- The principle of shared freedom, democracy, and mobility
- Climate action that makes sense — and doesn’t crush poor families
- Data protection, human rights, and a sovereign digital space
The European Union was built on amazing values. I believe in those. But I also believe those values are being undermined — by policy made far from reality.
What I Criticize
It’s not the concept of “Europe” I have a problem with. It’s the way EU institutions have turned into detached, overcentralized structures, issuing top-down decisions with little regard for local impact.
Things like:
- Emission policies that punish the poor while letting corporations buy offsets
- Regulations on AI written by people who don’t know what a neural net is
- Mandatory renovations of private homes — with no realistic funding
- Price manipulation on energy while ignoring national production
- Censorship laws disguised as “protection”
These aren’t conspiracy theories. These are actual policies. And if no one challenges them, they become permanent.
Why This Site Exists
We don’t need more screaming. We need clarity. We need someone to call out bad ideas without hiding behind slogans or political agendas.
That’s what I’m trying to do here. Break down EU decisions into plain English (or Czech), show how they affect regular people, and ask: “Is this really the best we can do?”
Sometimes that means criticism. Sometimes humor. Sometimes numbers. Always facts.
Final Note
This site is pro-European. But not pro-stupidity. It’s not here to destroy. It’s here to repair, question, rethink. That’s what real unity looks like — not silence, but engaged disagreement.
If you're tired of either blind loyalty or blind hate — welcome. This is your space too.
